On 19 April 2011, Colombian National Police Director Gen. Oscar Naranjo reported that during the first 100 days of 2011, the police captured 740 members of criminal gangs, including 378 “UrabeƱos,” and 84 tons of narcotics, mostly marijuana. Raids also destroyed 208 drug laboratories and led to the seizure of 100 major drug traffickers and US$21 million in cash.
